American Falls is the story of estranged siblings, Bruce Clancy, a war veteran who struggles to reconcile his rapid loss of hearing, and Sylvia Clancy, an addict fighting to regain custody of her child. Following the death of their mother, Bruce and Sylvia reunite in order to reap their piece of moms will, only to discover an absurd stipulation necessary for the execution of the will. With Bruce in need of money for an ear operation, and Sylvia out to prove she can stay sober and be a role model again, the siblings take a road trip to carry out their mothers final wish, hoping to find redemption along the way.
